Lemme show you three selfies I took while guarding mom in the bathroom.

Hi furriends, Buster here. It has been (nearly) 10 days since I last appeared here. I'm sorry that you were deprived of my mancatness for like forever. Anyhoo, what can I tell you? Well while I was not seen on this blog, I was doing my patrolman duties. I go around the house looking for the best (coolest) place to nap. Tis hot here kitties. H-O-T!
Also I would like to report that "NO FIGHTIN" has been the constant refrain here around the house. Sometimes it's me whapping Emma, other times it's her doing all the whapping. At this time, the humans still don't know where all this desire to wrassle originate. Probably it's the heat. Heat causes kitties to wrassle.

So the mom and dad are back from a 2-night camping (state park) in Sonoma Valley. It was a scorching hot during the day. And the temps dipped at night. Mom understood what the grapevines go through each single day with hot days and cool nights, perfect for wine growing.
The campsite is in the town of Kenwood in Sonoma Valley. Mom and dad and friends went for a hike in the morning (too hot already), then stopped at a Mexican grocery store that sells yummy tacos for lunch. They went to a winery for olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting, made a point to visit Jacuzzi winery for wine tasting. Afterwards, they went for window shopping in Sonoma.
Furthermore, the group campsite was next to a volunteer-run observatory where they got lectures on basic astronomy and got to look at very cool astromy stuff, like nebula, starts, clusters, and of course Saturn and its rings on the huge telescope. How educational for all of them.
Mom loves the fact that she can sleep on the ground at night and do wine tasting during the day.

Other Cat here! I was designated to be the bearer of news. Emma and Buster will be quiet this weekend. Their secretary/mom and dad are going camping. Hope they have a fun time and do not get eaten by mosquitoes and other bugs. Where they will ge going, it is expected to be 100F. I hope the mom does not become the grumpy one. See you next week.

So there's a bit of a drama around here yesterday. It all started when I figured out how to nap under the sofa covers. I saw mom and dad fix the sofa covers and realized I could easily maneuver the covers so that I can slink my slender body underneath the covers where I can nap peacefully. Buster can't even figure out where I have been napping so my naps have been undisturbed for a couple of days.
Yesterday, mom went to bed early and she did not realize that I was still napping under the sofa covers. Dad assured her I will come upstairs and join them later in the night. But I did not! So when mom's alarm clock woke her up this morning and she couldn't find me, she went on panic mode. She went up and down the stairs calling my name. The third time she went downstairs she went to look under the sofa covers and there I was.
Tonight, I got extra scritch and treats; I think they're bribing me. The peeps think I may have gotten a little jealous of the extra scritches and play times that Buster has been getting lately. But the truth is kitties, just between you and me, all I needed was uninterrupted nap. That is all.

Our human is afflicted with a disease called papparazzitis where she has the uncontrollable desire to capture every little move the kitties make. If she does not get treament for this, catpapa will have to order another terabyte of external drive - he won't be happy about that!

So we told you about the peeps friend and her family coming over the weekend for a visit. Oh my, they not only visited the humans, they visited us too. We did a lot of entertaining over the weekend, but in return we got plenty of scritches and brushies too. Look at this beautiful young lady giving this hunky mancat a ton of brushies!

We had house guests this weekend. Mama's college roommate came over with her family (two teenage kids + husband) and they all went to Napa to visit some castle and taste some wine. The good thing about it for us kitties is the whole family loves kitties. They have a gray colored kitty named Ash that they picked up from the street when it was a little kitten, now she's one year old.
Buster and I got so much scritches, combing sessions, and Buster even lets mama's girlfriend hug and kiss him. The nerve. Now they have left for home in SoCal and we have our own room back. Mama now wants to visit them in SoCal so she can meet Ash the kitty.
