More on Teddy

We were concerned as do a few of the readers about Teddy getting out of the backyard. Thankfully for the most part, she stays put. She stays in the deck or explores the small backyard. The house backs into a golf course and somehow little fur ball doesn't care about the golfers. On very few instances that she decides to explore outside of the fenced back yard, she just goes around the house and ends up waiting in the front door.

The good earth on mah feet feels good, says Teddy.

Beyond the fence is all green grass for the golf course. Teddy enjoys the sunset glow.

Wordless Wednesday

Here is Teddy out on the deck.

Teddy belongs to our human g'ma's friend Marilyn and when Teddy's mom goes away for a trip, she stays with our g'ma Gay. This is at G'ma Gay's deck.

Our mama loves sweetie pie Teddy; she's equal parts cranky and sweet and allows mama a little snuggle.

Mancat Monday

2013_06_07 004
My humans came up with a "brilliant" idea. They thought it would be great to "train" me to use a harness so they can take me for a walk! Could you imagine that???? Hah!

The training went this way....lots of chasing around, some people got scratched, there were loud meowing and at the end of the day all they got is a picture of me next to the blue harness that will never ever get to be used.

Do you like the I'M-NOT-HAPPY look?

A Whole Lot of Tuxie for Thursday

Hi Kitties, catmama here. I've been accused of being obsessive when it comes to shooting at my furbabies. Now that I discovered that my phone can take nice pictures also, well I'm doubly dangerous, MOL!

Here is one afternoon of shooting with my pretty tuxie.

Emma can be very patient when it comes to being photographed. Hmmm, maybe I should open an instagram account :)

Nothing comes between a man and his lady love, except maybe sheets - especially if her claws are very sharp :)

Any which way you look, I'm 100% mancatly handsome ~ Buster

Catmama here: We just got back from a weekend of camping at Samuel P. Taylor SP. While most of the people we camped with had phone coverage, I intentionally went offline. I spent my time walking under the redwoods, chatting with people, playing with kids, petting doggies...oooops, kitties there were many doggies who came to the camping with us. They were well behaved for the most part, outside of one "territorial" dispute. This means we missed a lot of stuff going on in the catblogging world and would have to play catch up again.

Mancat Monday

It's hot here kitties. We did a lot of flopping and I caught a lot of whiffies through the screen door.

A Caturday Story

One Caturday last Fall when the humans had free time, they decided to take a walk by their old stomping grounds. The humans' pre-cat life involved a lot of walking and watching the birds, the geese, the ducks and other birds by the creek just down the hill from where they used to live. They were getting nostalgic for the place, thus a visit was made.

While they were walking and watching the birdies they noticed that the ducks were disturbed, they jumped and flew away from the thicket as possible. That's when catpapa saw the cause of all the disturbance. A friendly little kitty. When he/she was done wreaking havoc to the peace in the creek, he/she greeted our humans and welcomed them to his/her domain.

He allowed to be scritched, gave head bonks freely, and wagged tail joyfully.

More head rubs please, begged she, or he?

Her/his coloring reminded the human of Binga, sisfur to Sparkle.

Our human always brings a small camera whenever she leaves, otherwise her phone gets abused with taking so many pictures.

Anyway, after this video was taken the kitty joined our humans, er led our humans on the trail with occasional stops to look at a duck or sniff something, but stopped just before the trail led to the main road.

Thank you kitties, cat mama here, we have gone back 2x since then and brought kibbles but we have not seen the kitty again. The creek is behind an elementary school and we have spotted 2 food bowls in the deck of the pre-school building. We guessed that they live in the pre-school and are getting well cared for. We just remembered again and are now planning on walking there again hoping to see her one more time. She (I hope it's a she) is very friendly and a little naughty and very clean. She looks like she belongs to someone, if not from the pre-school, from all the townhouses across the creek.

Mancat Monday

Here's a little story about a Mancat.

It all started one night, a torn old t-shirt, lots of belly rubs, some delicious kibble treats and very smooth talking human.

The mancat who swore NEVER to be caught dead wearing a costume was photographed wearing a cape, a superhero cat cape.

From this angle, I heard someone say I look like E.T.

I then got picked up by the human for another shot!

Before the night was over, I was overcome with remorse and guilt. I'm a mancat, I don't wear costume.....

Tuxie Thursday!

Mama thinks I'm trying to look pretty. I am not really. Except that I am naturally pretty, don't all lady cats are?

Happy 4th of July kitties. Stay safe. Don't get too freaked out of the booms, if you can hear them. We live far from any fireworks area so this isn't a concern for us. Just be safe.
