The humans are back!!!
Yes, we are back. It's the human speaking. We enjoyed a beautiful, yet short, vacation that started in Lake Tahoe where we stayed in the North Lake Tahoe area for 2 days, took the very scenice Highway 395 from Lake Tahoe and visited Mono Lake and the beautiful tufas, took drive to equally picturesque Tioga Pass to Yosemite where we took a short visit, then left Yosemite for Groveland where friends loaned us the use of their mountain cabin. What a nice getaway spot. The next day we went back to Yosemite this time to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir - the one that supplies the water for San Francisco and saw the devastation of last year's Rim Fire. We took a short hike before driving home.
I find it tougher and tougher to take vacations leaving the kitties behind, even though I know they are well cared for and probably even spoiled. At night I miss Emma sleeping in between or on top of my legs. Needless to say, both the husband and I had a tough time sleeping.
Now we're back and we hope to get back to regular programming, especially visiting you sweet kitties.
To be honest, I kind of like my pet sitter better than my human - she is way less annoying! I think my human needs me more than vice versa.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteOur human left us once, about 2.5 years ago, to visit family in another province. Derry was so scared of the lovely and kind woman who came in to feed us, that it all precipitated his first bout of cystitis, shortly after the human got home.
She's never left us since. LOL.
Welcome home! now everyone fets a great big happy! Glad you had a fun time!
ReplyDeleteOur Mum only left us once - we were so upset and cried the whole time. She hasn't left us overnight since then. We were taken to a local cattery which was recommended but not by the purrizoners!!

Yippee for returned humans! We love listening to our mom talk about when she goes out of town, unless she says something about seeing other kitties. We hope your mom and dad share all their adventures with you and no other kitties are involved! Our mom loves those tufas! Purrs...
ReplyDeleteHope the humans had a great trip and anniversary celebration. But now they're back to do your bidding.
ReplyDeleteWe all worry about our babies when we are gone. Glad you got away for a few days.
ReplyDeleteIt's scary when the humans are away (but don't tell them I said that)

We bet Emma and Buster are glad you're home now, too.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your getaway! Mom says she understands completely. She doesn't like to leave us for much more than overnite anymore either.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home.

I totally know what you mean about leaving the kitties. Our last road trip 100 years ago, it was the thing I was most anxious about. Easier this time around since our kitties are playing together in kittyheavenland, and our current apartment doesn't allow pets. Regardless, nothing beats the companionship and unconditional love from a pet. I know you are happy to be home w/ the kit-cats, and visa versa.
ReplyDeleteOur paths/cars seemed to cross just a bit last weekend. Sounds like we were both on the 395 for a stint...you longer than us since we were only on it from Hwy 108 till just before Mono Lake.
Mommy said she misses me in the bed too. She relaxes more once she feels my feet walking along toward her. xox
