Hello kitties, catmama here.
Blogging at midnight, I should really go to sleep as I have to go to work early tomorrow. But as I am checking something online, my little Emma is sleeping with catpapa (the picture is taken another time, not tonight). She is my baby and always sleeps with me, but lately she's been bonding more and more with catpapa. As a matter of fact right now while the two of them snooze, catpapa's hand is on top of her keeping her close. She doesn't mind. She's sleeping quietly.
Buster on the other hand has taken a more liking towards my companionship. He has found a liking to my leather purse. My purse is currently sitting on the bed and on top of it is Buster snoozing, just by my foot. Last night Buster slept next to me.
What is happening here catmamas/papas? Can you shed a light to this new change in behaviour? Does this happen normally?

Last year when my baby Emma was suffering from urinary problems, she was having a tough time dealing with the pain. We found her to be more and more solitary. She finally found a place where she could be alone, away from her brofur Buster's unwanted company. She found the top of the closet in the master's bedroom. We were dumbfounded how Emma could reach up there. Halfway between the ceiling and the floor is a small window with a little window sill where Emma does her bird watching. We reckoned she used that to boost herself (her tiny self) from that platform to get to the top of the closet.
When her pain was gone, she was never seen in that spot again.
But the ever curious, ever envious little brofur Buster would like to know what was up there and why was Emma up there and he wasn't? We came back from an errand one day and was surprised that Buster didn't meet us at the door. We were afraid that he got locked in a bedroom, in the garage or worst case scenario managed to pry open the screen door in the backyard and got out.
We continued to call out his name and opened every door and cabinet, but he was nowhere. We went in the backyard and called out his name, but other cats came, not him.
Then we went in the closet to change and he was up there. How he got there I have no clue. At that time, it was a mystery. He was heavy, big boned and meaty and leaping from the window sill to the top of the closet wasn't feasible, we thought.
Then one day I was working in the computer and I heard a rampaging Buster running so hard so fast from the hallway into the bedroom all the way to the closet and when I came to investigate, he was on top of the closet. That's how he did it, he needed the boost from running fast.
We discourage this behaviour of course. He was able to come down by jumping onto the ironing board and knocking everything in sight.
(P.S. pardon the mess.)

Lately Buster had been hogging the blogging duties, but it's my turn now. Tomorrow, well in less than 10 minutes really, it's Caturday, which means mama is going to be sleeping more - which means I'm going to snuggle with her more. Doncha worry, she goes potty at 5 am, and I get early noms then.
Have a wonderful weekend kitties. Enjoy your hoomans.

Mama is going to the doctor in a short while (nothing serious, just needed regular shots, hehehe she's going to the human vet for shots MOL)and they just arrived last night from the 2-week abandonment of kitties. In order to make up for lost time, we are posting a lot of pictures today.
Mama has lavender plants in her garden. She loves them. She hasn't found a good use for them except to dry the stalks and the blooms.
A month ago, she cut some flowers and tried to see how they'd fare as cut flowers (not for drying). Buster just had to inspect the merchandise before it goes on the floor for display you know.
Vase left on the bench while mama closes door.
Buster jumped to the bench and smelled something violety.
Buster faced the camera and confirmed his suspicion.
Could the smell be coming from the floor? Does it need more sweeping?
Maybe the smells here on the bench.
Ooops! What the heck is this thing?
Smells wonderful here.
Mama I give my seal of approval. Go put this on the table so everyone can see and smell it.-
