A little excitement tonight
Catmama here kitties. Emma had a little excitement tonight. While I was putting away clean laundry, I left the socks drawer open while I took care of other clothes. Emma jumped onto the open drawer to inspect if the socks were really clean. Since she was there I didn't give another thought to her or the open drawer and kept on doing my chore.
When I was done, I noticed that Emma was no longer in sight. Minutes later, I saw her little paw coming from the back of the open drawer. I don't know how she managed to get trapped between the back of the dresser. What did I do? Yell for catpapa to come upstairs, STAT we have a code grey kitty.
Once she got free, she looked at me like it was all my fault, hah! Now she's sitting in her pillow and hopefully trying to forget the trauma of being trapped in the dresser.
Whew! That's awful! We're glad you got out and there was no harm done.
ReplyDeleteCode grey kitty - HahaMeow!
Happy thursday!
One of the cats my human had when she was growing up got all around the insides of her parents' dresser several times when she was a kitten! She seemed to think it was a game.
ReplyDeleteThe head peep once had a waterbed frame for her regular mattress that had drawers in it, and the cats who came before would open the drawers and crawl under and behind them. Talk about good hiding spaces!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you were rescued, Emma...but come to think of it, you probably didn't really rescuing, did you? ;-)
ReplyDeleteGlad she's safe.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your Catmama heard you Emma.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We're so relieved Catmama saw your little paw from the back of the open drawer. Whew!
ReplyDeleteWe cats have more tricks than you could ever know!
ReplyDeleteOh dear Emma, our Momma had that happen once in the kitchen with Angel Abby. She got into the open cabinet and went in behind the drawer and MOm had to entice her out with food!
ReplyDeleteI love getting into the sock drawer and sleeping...but I've never gotten trapped behind the drawer. Maybe because I'm a lot bigger than Emma.

Emma, never tell how you managed that adventure!
ReplyDeleteI sure am glad the rescue team showed up quickly for you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Those drawers will get you every time. At least she was alright in the end :) Beautiful photo too!

ReplyDeletethe kitty I had while I was growing up LOVED to get up in an open drawer so he could get up inside the dresser. we lost him many a time, as he never made a sound when we closed the drawers. Being young I often thought the drawer wouldn't shut all the way because I stuffed it too full..
