Cats on Tuesday
Oh the day I feared wouldn't come have actually arrived. When we got Buster, he was 5 months old. Too small to reach the bed. So we set up his bed underneath our bed, which was where he stayed when he first arrived.
When he was a bit older and stronger and found the ability to leap higher, he would take Emma's bed which was at the far end of our bed when we all sleep. Emma sleeps with me, in between my legs, or on my belly.
He always slept under the bed in his own "suite" when the weather is a bit warm, and would sleep in Emma's bed when it gets chilly.
We have had very mild winter so far. Last night was chilly. As expected when we're all ready to turn in, Emma took her place between my legs and Buster jumped on the bed. He walked all over the bed and us and my Catpapa told him to go to his bed and sleep. He usually listens and goes to his bed, we're not crazy, he does as he's told - most of the times.
Last night was different. Instead of going to his bed to sleep as was ordered, he went in between Catpapa and I and made a spot for himself and slept. Hallelujah! First time that he did that. He isn't the cuddle bunny, I know that, but he actually chose to sleep with us last night!!!!!
Catpapa and I spent moments just watching him - kicking Catpapa so he could create more space for him in the middle. Oh my heart was singing.
Thank you kitties and fellow catmamas for listening to this giddy catmama.
This is my entry for this week's CATS ON TUESDAY.
