Naughty, naughty!
There was (is - still here) a rocking chair here for the longest time, but it was on it's last legs. It had broken arm. For the longest time, it was there still being used. Luckily I was never injured despite climbing up on the arms. Finally, my humans found the ONE chair that they liked on Wayfair. It's not a rocking chair, but a recliner. It took a couple of days for me to figure out how to climb it, and when I did, boy the humans were just present to record it. Now they are scouting for a chair cover to protect it from my claws.

Let me tell you kitties, this is the best chair ever. When the mama puts the recliner function, it's the most comfortable place to sit and snooze while she bingewatch.
If you are cruising on the CB reading cat blogs, you will see everyne has covers on their furniture, berds, couches, chairs, etc. May use towels, the large ones, and lots of them to cover where their cats love to patrol and nap..as the back of the couch for example. I have a 50 dollar throw on my couch, fitted, made for covering either a chair or a couch. You wish the furniture could show, its prettiness, but we all have cats...furs and clawing happen; so we cover. My recliner..or Katie's I should say, has a quilt in the seat and across the arms. And a red, heavy hand towel across the back of it, as she likes to monorail up there.

ReplyDeleteJust don't get under the recliner when it reclines, that could be nasty sweet Emma!
ReplyDeleteProtect it from your claws? Do you mean to say they *didn't* buy that for you? We think some re-education might be in order, Emma!
ReplyDeleteWell, we certainly do like YOUR new recliner, Emma!
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome chair, Emma! Of course you found your way up there.
ReplyDeleteSounds like everyone will be very comfy in the new chair, Emma. Good work learning how to climb it!
