Buster and I are asking for tips on how to inspire your humans to work out? No joke.

Mom here: I am very lazy to work out. I need to lose weight and be in shape. Just putting this out in the universe.

  2. Our mom is pretty lazy too. Every time she starts an exercise program, it only lasts about a week or so.

  3. Emma and Buster, we think your mama needs to vary her workout routine, so that she does not get bored with it.

  4. My human loves working out! She loves the way it makes her feel, and the fact that is limber and stronger than most women her age. What she found got her going at first was to focus a lot on activities she enjoys. For her, that was cardio dance. She built everything else - strength training, yoga and other stuff - around that. Some people like outdoor activities (my human doesn't), or other forms of exercise. Sometimes starting off with brisk walks is helpful.

  5. Like the Nike commercial says, JUST DO IT! Mom is addicted to her Peloton and so works out six or seven days a week. You just have to find something you enjoy. Emma, what do you do to keep in shape? Hope you'll join us tomorrow for 4th anniversary Sunday Selfies. 6. Here is what my mom did. She likes walking from way back thru the years. Heart surgery took that out of the mix for awhile (it wasn't the usual by -pass thingy). But when she was able, and with the cardiologist's permission she started walking again. She built up and up until she got to 85,000 steps a week. I mention that because the next thing she wanted me to meow was, after you get started, just as Summer indicated, you get so you crave the activity, That is true. I, the mom, walk very briskly for an hour. If the weather is terrible I go to the gym and use their treadmills. Just get started; as early as you can in the day IF possible. I know you work. And commit to doing ---say---that walk on your treadmill each day for a week. No exceptions. Then, you will begin to want to do that. It gets to be a good habit.
