(Not) Wordless Wednesday

We normally don't say a lot here, but somehow we picked Wordless Wednesday to be wordy, hah! Kitty's prerogative right?

Kitties Emma here. I have made mama very happy last night. For the past couple of weeks she has the sads because I don't sleep with her anymore. I have been keeping my human grandma company. She begs for my presence at night in her room. So I relent, what a kitty to do right?

The thing is not only was I absent from mama's bedside at night, but I hardly make my presence felt in other parts of the house as well, opting to stay with my g'ma in her room.

Why is that you ask? I think it all started when the twit brofur started to usurp my territory (aka mama) at bedtime. I don't know why all of a sudden he wanted to cuddle with the mama at bedtime. I tolerated him for a few days, always throwing a growl his way and the occasional whap, but he persisted.

Hopefully for mama's sake, I start sleeping with her again. G'ma told mama that the reason why I sleep in her bed is that mama is a restless sleeper and moves constantly throughout the night, which disturbs my beauty sleep. Thus, I stay where I don't get my sleep cut by moving limbs.

  1. Sometimes we kitties change where we sleep - sometimes I sleep in the cat tree, and sometimes I sleep with my human. Of course she likes it better when I sleep with her, but I do what I feel like doing!

  2. Wait!! Did I miss a day? It's Tuesday!!!! Tell your Mama not to feel bad, Cody will only sleep near my head, never next to me.........and he is ALWAYS changing where he sleeps at night. Sometimes kitties are just like that! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody

  3. I certainly understand, Emma. Jenna just visits me during the night because I'm a restless sleeper, too.

  6. I bet your Grandma loves to have you sleep with her. I have 13 cats and some nights no one wants to seep with us. When it is chilly though, we get a full bed.

  7. We change where we sleep all the time. Sometimes I like to sleep right next to the mom. And it makes her happy. But then other times, I don't sleep with her at all. She gets a little sad when I don't but it makes the times that I do all the more special. I hope you'll sleep with your mom again, Emma. ~Ernie

  9. We switch up our sleeping places, too. Right now, we're hogging up the bed so Mom and Dad have to contort themselves. MOL.

  10. I suppose your mama could always have another cat join the household - one to sleep with her? I'm betting you wouldn't like that though, so perhaps you should come back to mama's bed, at least once in a while!

  11. Only Rosie is my bed warmer all the others are chased away, sometimes Arthur is allowed to stay, or rather he just doesn't move when she gets aggressive !

  12. Hi, I'm Popoki and I'm about ten months old. I went through a period of ignoring Mummy overnight, but it didn't last very long. I always come back to you! Hope that's a bit of reassurance.

Happy Wordless Wednesday, and thanks for hosting!

  13. Oh my goodness. I sleep with mommy every night and while she really really misses me when I go on patrol or worse still ignore her...she says I disturb her sleep from 3 am on. AS IF!!!

  15. My cats would turn me into a sandwich every night if they could. I know some nights, now that it's warm out, they'd like to lay on the porch, but they're indoor cats, so that's not possible. Last week they got to spend some time out in the grass though. =)
